We can provide official donation receipts for all donations over $20.
If you're considering borrowing mobility equipment from us, the best way to contribute is to convert your refundable equipment deposit into a donation when you return the equipment.
If you'd like to give a cash or cheque donation please call us at 807-456-9500 or use our contact form. If you prefer electronic transactions we also accept eTransfers.
We accept donations of gently used mobility and home care equipment to add to our inventory.
Please contact us by phone or email with information on the equipment you'd like to donate.
Note: We will only provide an official donation receipt for donations of wheelchairs and 4-wheeled walkers. The value of the donation will be based on the fair market value of the equipment [age, condition, model, etc.] as determined by our equipment expert.
Login to your financial institution's website [bank, credit union, etc.]. Navigate to the payments section of the website and select Interac eTransfer.
Set up The Borrowing Cupboard as a payee for Interac eTransfers. For the method of notification, select email only and use firstname.lastname@example.org as the email address to notify us. Do not select text notification.
The Borrowing Cupboard email address has been set up for Auto-Deposit. When you initiate an eTransfer to us your financial institution should indicate that and you won't have to set up a separate security question and answer for us to accept it. Please contact us at 807-456-9500 or consult the volunteer helping you if this isn't the case with your transfer.
Enter the amount of the donation or equipment deposit and confirm the details before sending.
Your confirmation should indicate that the funds were automatically deposited in our account.
